1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup melted butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 bananas)
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar together until creamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until just blended. Stir in mashed bananas until batter is smooth.
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
